DELTA BLOC UK are now taking part in the latest series of UK Roads "Lunchtime Learning” events. 

These events are taking place at Local Authorities and consulting engineering offices around the UK and are designed to support the Highways Industry through raising awareness of new products, services and cost effective design solutions – ‘driving design excellence’.

The delegates are given a series of short presentations from a representative range of products and services including signs, lighting, signals and safety. 

DELTA BLOC UK has taken the view that education as well as information about products and services is of most benefit to the attendees. The presentation from DELTA BLOC UK explores the National and European legislation relating to Vehicle Restraint Systems, the testing requirements, the specification of road safety barriers in the UK and finally an insight into which DELTA BLOC^® products offer potential solutions to highway design problems.

DELTA BLOC UK is becoming ever more enthusiastic as a result of the feedback gained on the road so far. The Local Authorities and consulting engineers visited, now truly believe that there is a credible alternative to cast-in-situ Concrete Step Barrier in the form of DELTA BLOC^® Permanent Rigid Safety Barrier solutions. The pre-cast concrete systems offer H2 Containment Level with a W1 Working Width whilst maintaining Impact Severity Level B (ASI B).
